Very pretty 18th century cross pendant (Ancien Régime hallmarks).
This cross has all the attributes of the so-called stick cross which was popular in France, and particularly in Brittany, at that time.
It has rectangular section arms ending in balls. The balls represent the tears of Christ and are three in number to remind us that Christ cried three times.
Excellent condition considering its age.
